The meeting invited Professor Zhang Shumei, director of the International Medical Education Subcommittee of the China Education International Exchange Association, to give special lectures. Professor Zhang introduced the special research situation of the Ministry of Education's education in China, the status quo, problems and future development of overseas medical education in China. The achievements and reform measures made by the international students’ education have been fully affirmed. School of International Education reported on the qualifications of instructors in English teaching, and put forward specific requirements for the next step in the development of overseas teacher training, the construction of overseas training bases, and the commencement of international courses.

It is learnt that the fifth phase of the intensive English language training program for foreign teachers will start on May 14. In the current period, 33 students will conduct a one-month intensive English study at the Shandong Foreign Language Training Center to further improve their ability to teach in English.
